thanks for your suggestions :

regarding the BBPATH, this is pointing to the right folder :
BBPATH=$OEHOME/openembedded:$OEHOME/build

Marco, I'll try your suggestion. It looks like the confs are related to the
Taskit boards, while I'll use it for the Beagleboard nd one EPIA VIA based
system. Are there particular parameters that need to be changed beside the
MACHINE?
