openSUSE 11.2 will probably do it.

I did never touch gnuradio, but I seen mails in the list.

There were problems in past with libusb-compat and:

gphoto, f-spot: Problems were fixed before libusb-compat-0.1.0.

gpsbabel + Garmin GPS = depended on undocumented libusb0 USB endpoint
direction sanitization. Fixed in libusb-compat-0.1.1.

gphoto + no USB subsystem: Crash after initialization failure. Fixed
in libusb-compat-0.1.2.

There are no known issues with libusb-compat-0.1.2 yet.

To resume my plan:

Introduce virtual/libusb0 for now and set is as default to
libusb-compat.

When all problems of libusb-compat will be fixed, drop libusb-0
completely and optionally replace virtual/libusb0 by libusb-compat.
