You appear to building perl, not perl-native, with a target of x86_64.
There's no support for an x86_64 target in the perl in OE.

To add it you need to build perl natively, then add a copy the config.sh from
the build into packages/perl/perl-5.8.7/config.sh-x86_64-linux and update the
.bb file to copy it in (like the other configs).
