I have to conclude now that the problem is in the driver of the SD card. My
files get corrupted there on a regular basis- regardless if it's an image used
by altboot or anything else. Heck, for bigger packages like python it barely
lasts a day of usage before some random file gets mangled!

It is possible that the SD card itself is at fault, however the problem started
occurring exactly after the upgrade to OZ 3.5.4.1, where the new 2.6 kernel is
used.
