------- Comment #4 from skliarieh at gmail.com 2007-04-30 02:30 -------
I tried to follow instructions from
http://linux.junsun.net/intersil-prism/
And ended up running following command:
prism2_srec -v -f wlan0 pk010101.hex sf010802.hex
Then I saw following output:
...
Downloading to non-volatile memory (flash).
Note! This can take about 30 seconds. Do _not_ remove card during download.
Odd.. Download request for the kernel driver failed.
Are you sure you have compiled (and loaded the correct version of)
hostap.o module with PRISM2_DOWNLOAD_SUPPORT definition in
driver/module/hostap_config.h?
In addition, non-volatile download requires PRISM2_NON_VOLATILE_DOWNLOAD
to be defined.
Download failed!
Does hostap kernel module, as supplied in angstrom images, allows firmware
download to PRISM2 cards?
Then I tried to follow instructions for the WCF12 card on following URL:
http://linux.junsun.net/intersil-prism/stories/20060107_Ko_Czarny_linksys_wcf12.txt
But when I used following command:
prism2_srec -g wlan0 pk010101.hex
I got following error:
srec summary for pk010101.hex
Component: 0x0015 1.1.1 (primary firmware)
Verifying update compatibility and combining data:
Plug record length mismatch (PDR=0x0001): 12 != 16
==> extend from default
This image is not meant to be downloaded to volatile memory.
Incompatible update data.
