You miss the point of the driver, which by the way is fully supported by
Wolfson. I work there.

ASoC allows a generic machine/cpu/codec driver to be combined to easily make a
soundcard driver. Because wm8750 driver is generic we wont remove the unused
mixers for one machine.

You should instead of butchering the driver think about a method to signal to
alsa-lib and hence alsa-mixer that the mixers are not used on this particular
setup. It is something we wanted to look into but haven't had time to do yet.

The ultimate would be work on the scenario patch also produced by Wolfson to
only show mixers switched in in the current scenario. This is again something
that would be nice but we have no time to fix internally.
