I did not want to modify wm8750 driver, but only spitz.c or ALSA library to
hide settings unusable in Zaurus Spitz/Akita context and simply set properly
all mixers for all possible remaining Spitz use cases (headphones, speaker,
headset, mono mic, mono line in, speaker + mono mic, maybe with option to keep
speaker on in headphone and headset mode).
Just now, it is hard to understand spitz mixer without reading chipset
documentation and spitz.c code comments.
But you may know the answer to my following problems:
- Is RINPUT1 really unconnected? Why it is not wired to jack right channel?
- How to correctly set mixer for Headset mode (and Mic+Speaker) to maximally
attentuate unwanted echo in electric circuits. I tried to set both input
routings to Mono (Left), disable Left Mixer, mute all right inputs and left
outputs, but a weak echo is still present.
