i'm suddenly having the same trouble with ipkg install:

ipkg update : works good
ipkg install : same xsystem error with -P /tmp/ipkg-xxxx   , xxxx is changing
as i try again...

i tried a rm -r /tmp/ipkg-*
but that didn't help...
so now i cannot do any ipkg install......

perhaps it is related to recent feed updating on angstrom-distribution???
