Note that pushed version does not work - SRCDATE is overwritten with a bad
value from conf/distro/include/sane-srcdates.inc. You cannot change it
directly, because it affects also other qemu branches.

For compiling on SuSE, I need also patch from 2548 comment 4.

I can confirm, that it correctly runs to compile locales on x86_64.
