I have to say that I've not tried any qte/opie related package lately. 

Anyway, I've just tried again, and got errors before reaching konqueror
compilation stage, in qte-mt-static, something like:

No static library support for platform/compiler  linux-gnueabi-arm-g++-static
 Available platforms: cygwin-arm-g++ cygwin-ipaq-g++ cygwin-sharp-g++
freebsd-g++ linux-arm-g++
...

If it works for you, feel free to close the bug. I don't have the time to
scratch into the reasons of this failure.
