Just tried the Angstrom-x11-image-glibc-test-20070605-c7x0.rootfs.jffs2 image.
Still the same problem. 

Starting syslogd/klogd: done
Starting Bluetooth subsystemL hcid.
Starting GPE display manager: gpe-dm
ln: /etc/zaurusd/mach-config-vars: No space left on device
ln: /etc/zaurusd/mach-config-funcs: No space left on device
/etc/rc5.d/S99zaurusd: .: 11: Can't open /etc/zaurusd/mach-config-vars
