Just a follow up, I removed gcc-3.4-base in my build system to be 100% sure.
Then I baked glibc-binary-localedata-en-gb_2.5-r6_armv5te.ipk again with only
gcc-4 in my system. I verified using cmp that the newly baked locale files
match byte to byte with the one I provided to Paul Sokolovsky earlier. So the
busybox patch indeed works.
for the record, gcc version 4.1.2 20061115 (prerelease) (Debian 4.1.1-21)
