Thomas,

I tried your patch today.  Thanks for making progress.  I built a new kernel
and angstrom-console-image and reflashed my collie.

Although the kernel now supports APM, there are still problems.  When I hold
down the cancel button or type "apm --suspend", the machine blanks the screen
for a moment but the suspend fails.  In the kernel log I get the following
message:

<3>Could not power down device sa11x0-udc: error 4294

Also, the halt command still fails as before: all the processes stop, but the
machine never actually switches off, and the image on the LCD begins to fade.
