Summary: Patch for libgstmad to generate 16-bit output instead of
32-bit
Product: Openembedded
Version: Angstrom
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Distributions
AssignedTo: openembedded-issues at lists.openembedded.org
ReportedBy: abraxa at dar-clan.de
The reason for this patch is that gstreamer's PulseAudio sink - pulsesink -
only accepts 16-bit integer samples, whereas mad's gstreamer plugin emits
32-bit samples. This makes conversion necessary which just wastes CPU cycles.
This patch changes this, allowing both to connect without conversion being
necessary.
