I've got the same issue with:
 - distribution: angstrom 2008.1
 - device: poodle
 - kernel 2.6.24-r9 (or 2.6.23-r27)
 - branche: org.openembedded.dev
 - images: altboot-console-image, x11-image, console-image

So for example all the devices in /dev/input are not created (e.g.:
touchscreen)
