Tom, thanks for summing up what the individual bugs were about.  I believe
things have gotten a bit muddy and thus I believe it is safe to just create one
big "udev 118 is broken in many ways, let's fix the package"-bug.

bluelightning and me have narrowed down bug 4212 to udev 092 working where udev
118 isn't.  I don't particularly care to understand why unless it helps in
actually fixing the issue at hand.
