I tested the image and it turns out the image was created using the
configuration still in .dev about angstrom-legacy.  It is certainly broken and
thus I will close this report as invalid although it might turn out that the
problem turns up in a properly compiled Angstrom, too.

two request to the A* devs following this:
a) make it harder to compile A* 2007 from .dev, I don't think anyone supports
this
   maybe even drop all 2007 configs from .dev
b) make sure http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/building-angstrom (it might)
   be fairly up-to-date, I did not check.  I only saw "posted 2006" and bitbake
   1.8 and kindly ask you to make sure that page gives the most recent
information
