Error building glibc

Dear All,
I'm trying to build an openembedded image - for now it really doesn't
matter what it contains. As we are owning some xilinx-xup-boards I
decided to use xilinx-ml403 as machine. "angstrom" as distro seemed
to be sufficient to me. But until now I could not get OE to run trough.
Till now I tried the "Getting Started" way from oe.org and the
description from angstrom, which sightly differs from oe.org. I used
the stable and the unstable branch as well but all my efforts failed.
I always end up with the following glibc-error:
OE Build Configuration:
BB_VERSION = "1.8.10"
OE_REVISION = "02f2658aecfb649fc8c64f9e8ec8cce2af899d06"
TARGET_ARCH = "powerpc"
TARGET_OS = "linux"
MACHINE = "xilinx-ml403"
DISTRO = "angstrom"
DISTRO_VERSION = "2008.1-test-20080424"
TARGET_FPU = "soft"

Maybe one of you can help me out? Where does OpenEmbedded define the
LD_LIBRARY_PATH? Can an .bb-File change this setting? Or is the error
situated at an other point?
My environment:
Gentoo-Linux 2008.0 on a Core2Duo
No LD_LIBRARY_PATH set by default.
Regards
Daniel
