How to build minimal-image foe linux 2.6.22 instead of 2.6.25

Just to be sure, you can't boot your system with your kernel or your
can boot it but when mounting the rootfs it stops?

If you want to build another kernel you can create a new bb file or
use the cross-compiler to build it by hand, but first I would
recommend you to take a look at packages/linux and see if the kernel
you want is not already there.

In case you're using the linux-omap kernel, there are many versions of it there.
