How to modify kernel options for a i.mx31

Hi all,

I'm trying to customize an OE builded kernel for an mx31ADS machine. 
I've modified kernel config options for other device (PXA27x based), 
using make menuconfig on work directory.

Can I modify mx31-kernel recipe to automatic kernel customization? There 
is any other recipe file implied in kernel config options?

Pointer to do this, or links to on-line documentation will be very helpful.
