Greetings,
I am very new to embedded systems programming, I have done work on
web/desktop applications.
For my new project I need to develop a device with capacity of locating
itself using GPS and then sending that information to other device(any hand
held device) using GPRS, and also should have audio support. For GPS/GPRS
functionality I am planning to use a module called Telit GE865-QUAD which
has built-in python interpreter support, thus making application development
easier for the developers. Now I am stuck at deciding the processor for the
device. I have gone through many available architectures descriptions like
ARM, 8051 etc. I will appreciate if you provide any inputs on this.
Also is it possible to develop entire device using Python programming
language instead of C/C++ ? Like interrupt handling, user interface etc.

Thanks & Regards
VGNU
