[Openembedded-users] Different DISTRO's

Can someone help me understand the differences between DISTRO settings
like:   "angstrom-2008.1", "angstrom-2010-x" and similar angstrom variations
besides the obvious that one is from 2008 and the other from 2010, please?

I suspect part of my issue is newness to OE and unfamiliarity with the
nuances of the recipes and conf files as I am struggling just to figure out
where the files are, much less how to intuit what the differences are in
angstrom DISTRO variations.
