The file
org.openembedded.dev/packages/qemu/files/compiler.patch removes the line:
#include <linux/compiler.h>
from qemu/usb-linux.c

This line is needed in order to compile on my system, and I believe is correct.

Any idea why this patch exists?

Attached patch stops the patch being applied.
